Barbarian Proctologist game rules Components 40 Food tokens 40 Plastic markers 1 wooden game board 2 miniatures in each of the 5 field colors 12 plastic workers 60 commodity tokens (20 for each resource type) 6 play area tokens 6 scoring tokens (40 for a 7 or 8 player game) 6 bean bag tokens 2 scorch tokens Instructions Setup Distribute the Food tokens among the players. Each player chooses a number of his color depending on the number of players. The number of players cannot be changed during the game. Each player takes the six plastic workers of the appropriate color and places them in his play area. Each player places a miniatures in the 3 fields of his color. The remaining workers and action cards go on the game board. The Scorch token is put aside. Each player takes a total of 30 Food tokens (according to his civilization color), placing them in his hand. All of the wooden game pieces are placed on the game board. The scorch token is put on space 1 of the food trail, on the Food token for whic his color. Place the Score tokens according to their value next to the game board (values 1 to 5). Place all of the scorch tokens back in the box. Each player chooses a player color and takes the scorch token of his color. The tokens and the dice are set out near the game board. Each player takes 1 worker of his color and places it in one of the empty fields of his color. The other workers and action cards are put on the game board. The second player starts the game. Game Play The game is played over 7 game rounds. Each game round consists of 4 phases: Placing Production Sites Stealing Food Bidding Scoring Preparing The Next Round 1. Placing Production Sites Each player places one of his production sites from his hand onto an empty space on the game board. Players can only place their production sites onto empty spaces. If a player already has two production sites in his hand, he can choose a new empty space. A production site can be placed on a supply square, on one of the 2 empty squares on the game board, or on an action card that has already been placed on the game board. A production site can be placed on one of the 2 empty squares on the game board, or on an action card that has already been placed on the game board. Placement for Production Sites is only possible when it is legal (i.e. both fields for a player are completely filled). Once a production site is placed, it is considered adjacent to all of the other production sites (i.e. the production sites in front of it will not be crossed by other production sites). Example: The gold hexagonal space in the picture represents a production site. The player places one of his production sites onto an empty production site on the game board and covers the other two empty production sites with his production sites.
